perhaps highly unpopular opinion, but i worked in a corporation that hired a TON out of the army. practically everyone working full time (some demanding physical jobs) were on -30% or 50%- disability etc from the military. like pratically everyone got a disability check rolling in, despite being completely fine/able bodied/etc. it really soured me on the 'retirement plan' of disability after a 3-4 year service.
