I think you underestimate the resolve. I have yet to hear a good answer to the question - if tariffs are so self-defeating as is claimed, then why do many, many other countries impose them on us? There are also clips of Sanders, Pelosi, and Obama from years back pushing for tariffs and/or reciprocal trade practices between nations.
As tariffs/trade policy relates to Elite, we manufacture domestically anyway. If tariffs go into effect on foreign API, then I would expect that to hit most if not all of the other generic manufacturers also. I think Nasrat mentioned this in the CC. So should be impacting most or all of them the same - generics could go up in price but they'd still be drastically below brand. We've already been discussing the added potential for Elite to strike a deal to manufacture a branded drug for other bigger pharmas if they need to start producing domestically.
Interestingly, which country dropped all remaining tariffs on us? Israel. What do we have launching there soon?
