Ending its remote work flexibility, Freddie Mac (OTCQB:FMCC)
told staffers to return to the office five days a week starting in May,
with a promise to review pay plans to reward key employees,
Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing a Wednesday memo
from Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte and
Freddie CEO Diana Reid.

As of Jan. 31, the mortgage giant employed more than 8,000 workers.

Employees have about 45 days to come back to the office,
ensuring its critical function in the U.S. mortgage market
remains uninterrupted, a person familiar with the matter
told Bloomberg.
