There's been more mention about housing from Pulte, Trump and Bessent, the Hud guy and a few others as well. They all know that housing is 17-20% of the economy, I would say even more when you add on the building & hardware places like Lowes and Home Depot, then the furniture and inside decor places, and then the many small, and a few large, landscape companies country wide, not to mention the big construction companies and all the brick layer, roofing installers, siding, garage door installers, windows and cement contrators. Then there's even the homeowners insurance places and the cities with their exorbiant taxes that make out. It all adds up to exponential economic growth. Even car companies and heavy equipment Mfr's. participate because new trucks, vans, back hoes, graders, you name it, are bought. So you could probably easily say a housing boom would easily affect minimally 25% of the economy. Then ask yourself how many places like McDonalds and gas stations see more business from contractors eating and filling up for equipment.....it gets huge.
