The cities are what support the red counties in California. Your pronouncement is 100% wrong. For example, if the state of jefferson (by the way, the word is secede, which seems to be above your education level) were to secede, it would be instantly bankrupt as the red counties take in less than they spend. Scaled up, it is the same effect as WV sending less federal taxes to Washington than they receive in expenditures.
