Leading Edge Materials to reapply for strategic project status as Norra Kärr development advances

While Norra Kärr was not included in the EU’s first list of Strategic Projects, the company remains committed to the initiative and will reapply once the next call for applications is announced. Despite this outcome, Leading Edge Materials has continued to make significant progress at Norra Kärr. Since submitting its application in August 2024, the company has reached a key milestone by submitting a new application for an Exploitation Concession—a 25-year mining lease—and remains focused on exploring innovative pathways for early and sustainable production. Budge also shared updates on the company’s Rapid Development Plan, which is designed to accelerate the extraction process and shorten the timeline to production of heavy rare earth element (HREE) concentrate and nepheline syenite. A key aspect of this strategy is a phased development approach, starting with a small-scale operation to enable early deposit access, generate initial revenue from nepheline syenite sales, and stockpile HREE concentrate for future processing. This approach is intended to minimize both financial risk and environmental impact while establishing a strong foundation for long-term operations. Budge also discussed ongoing testwork on nepheline syenite and aegirine, which is focused on mineralogy, chemical composition, and leachate chemistry. These findings will be crucial in assessing market opportunities, including potential demand and pricing scenarios. Greatland Gold reveals strong inaugural resources estimate for Telfer gold and copper mine

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) CEO Shaun Day talked with Proactive about the company’s latest mineral resource update and its upcoming dual listing on the ASX. The update confirms 10.2 million ounces of gold and 387,000 tonnes of copper, significantly expanding the company's resource base. Day highlighted that more than 55% of these resources fall under the measured and indicated category, allowing for future conversion to reserves. The company has also added 3.2 million ounces of gold and 117,000 tonnes of copper at the Telfer mine, strengthening its position in the market. "The size of the prize here in terms of life extension is really significant," he stated. The CEO also discussed Greatland Gold’s upcoming ASX listing, set for June 2025, which will broaden investor access and enhance market visibility. "We believe this cross-listing will unlock new demand from Australian investors and provide indexation benefits while maintaining our London listing," Day explained. Additionally, the company is ramping up exploration with six drill rigs in operation, aiming to further extend Telfer’s mine life and identify new mineralisation zones. Plexus Holdings CEO on £3m fundraise & growth strategy

Arrow Exploration reports 2024 reserves growth, highlights Tapir Block potential

Arrow Exploration CEO Marshall Abbott joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s 2024 year-end reserves evaluation, conducted by Boury Global Energy Consultants Ltd. The results highlight significant reserves growth across all categories, reinforcing the high resource density of the Tapir Block in Colombia and Arrow’s ability to drive future growth through drilling. Abbott revealed that proved developed producing (PDP) reserves surged by 92% to 2.38 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe), primarily due to the successful horizontal drilling campaign at Carrizales Norte. The net present value (NPV-10) before tax for PDP reserves stands at $71.3 million ($29.89/boe). Additionally, proved (1P) reserves increased by 10% to 5.80 MMboe, driven by discoveries at Alberta Llanos and further horizontal drilling success at Carrizales Norte. The NPV-10 for 1P reserves is $114.57 million ($19.75/boe). Arrow delivered strong reserves replacement ratios of 134% (1P) and 231% (2P), fueled by major discoveries in the Alberta Llanos Carbonera, Guadalupe, and Ubaque formations, as well as continued development at Carrizales Norte. These results emphasize the sustainability of Arrow’s growth strategy and the long-term value of its Colombian and Canadian assets. Looking ahead, Arrow is preparing for a robust 2025 drilling program with a fully funded $50 million capital budget, balancing development drilling and low-risk exploratory wells.
