We knew Palast when he lived with his girlfriend Bonnie on the North Fork of LI in the mid to late 80’s. We partied with them a few times and I read his first book.

The thing is, he was caught out lying about shit about the North Fork in that book and left the area with his credibility damaged. He was disparaged in the local weekly newspaper for the book and was not a fan favorite

This all might have nothing to do with what he’s been up to the past couple of decades but it might. Just sayin’
