Titan Mining reports record 2024 production, expands resources

Titan Mining President Rita Adiani joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s year-end results, highlighting record production and strong financial performance in 2024. The company met the upper end of its production guidance, while costs were 10% lower than the low end of its all-in sustaining cost (AISC) guidance. In Q4 2024, Titan Mining produced 21.7 million pounds of payable zinc, marking a 56% increase compared to Q4 2023. Total full-year 2024 production reached 59.5 million pounds. The company also posted Q4 revenues of $26.3 million, representing a 318% increase from Q3 2024 and a 241% increase from Q4 2023. Adiani also shared updates on the company’s mineral resource expansion, noting that Titan completed an updated mineral resource estimate and extended the mine life for ESM’s zinc operations until 2033. The updated estimate reports a 22% increase in measured and indicated contained zinc pounds compared to the 2020 resource estimate. In addition to its zinc operations, Titan completed a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Kilbourne Graphite Project. High-grade gold boost for Strickland Metals

Strickland Metals Ltd managing director Paul L’Herpiniere talked with Proactive about a significant upgrade to the company’s resource at its Rogozna project in Serbia. The latest resource update follows 20,000 metres of drilling in 2023, which delivered an increase of two million ounces gold equivalent. “I can't think of many projects on the planet that you can get this sort of growth for $3 an ounce,” L’Herpiniere said. He highlighted the success of targeted drilling at the Shanac deposit, where only 10 holes were drilled, resulting in a strong uplift in contained metals – including a 17% increase in gold and 38% in copper. Importantly, the drilling delineated high-grade mineralisation zones, which L’Herpiniere said will be the focus of upcoming mining studies. Strickland has now commenced a 50,000 metre drill program, with 30,000 metres allocated to resource drilling at Shanac and Gradina. Gradina, described as the most gold-rich of the four deposits, is expected to deliver a maiden resource later in 2025. The remaining 20,000 metres will target major exploration prospects, including Jezerska Reka and Obradov Potok. With approximately A$30 million in cash and strong geological potential, L’Herpiniere said the company is well positioned for further growth. Candel Therapeutics shares positive survival data for investigational immunotherapy in NSCLC

Candel Therapeutics CEO Dr. Paul Peter Tak joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce final survival data from a Phase 2a clinical trial evaluating the company’s investigational immunotherapy in patients with stage III/IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who had an inadequate response to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) treatment. The study reported a median overall survival (mOS) of 24.5 months in 46 evaluable patients who received two courses of the investigational therapy. In a subset of patients who had progressive disease at baseline despite ICI treatment, mOS was 21.5 months. Historically, similar patients receiving standard-of-care chemotherapy have had mOS between 9.8 and 11.8 months, with published studies rarely exceeding 12 months. With a median follow-up of 32.4 months, the data demonstrated long-term survival benefits, with 37% of patients who had progressive disease despite ICI therapy still alive two years after treatment. Based on these positive results, Candel Therapeutics will continue advancing the development program, including preparations for a potential registrational trial in patients with non-squamous histology NSCLC. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has previously granted Fast Track Designation for the investigational therapy in combination with an antiviral agent and ICI therapy for patients with stage III/IV NSCLC who are resistant to first-line PD-(L)1 inhibitors and do not have activating molecular driver mutations or have progressed on targeted therapy.
