I do have to disagree with you about ACIM being the inspired word of God. If you really want to know what Jesus taught read Mathew, Mark, Luke, & John. They had a personal relationship with Jesus, and they knew him on a personal level. I would rather have that personal eyewitness account for myself.
They also were martyred for their belief in Jesus Christ as being God other than John who later ended up writing the book of Revelation.
Nobody and I mean Nobody dies for a lie.
Don't follow some couple who in 1975 decided to make a new age way to God other than going through Jesus Christ.
This is a False Doctrine my friend and I can promise you that 100%.

We cannot self-elevate ourselves to be like God. This is the oldest trick in the book by Satan to deceive men into believing that they can be like God.
No Yoga, No Spiritual Meditation, No New Age Belief in Self, or Works is going to save us. The Universe isn't going to save us. Won't be Aliens either! LOL
Only a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that can save us.
It is the work that Jesus Christ did on the cross that he alone can and will save us from Hell.

I am a Sinner, and you are a sinner. Without Jesus Christ you and I are both dead in our sins, and we are headed to Hell by default.
We were born into this condition. It sucks, but that is just the way it is after the fall of mankind in the garden.
Jesus Christ paid our fine on the cross and it is him alone who has the keys to Eternal Life in Heaven, or the keys to Hell.
All we have to do is believe that Jesus Christ is God who emptied himself and became a man in the flesh.
He lived a sinless life and suffered a horrible death for the remission of our sins which we do not deserve.
He was raised back to life after three days.
No other false gods before him have ever done this. Mohammed did not get resurrected, and he came along about 500 years after Christ.
No other religion teaches a suffering God like we have with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus taught repentance of sin which is to turn from our sin and to follow him.
Everyone has access to Jesus through prayer, it's not your church, your priest, or your pastor who can save you.
It's not our works that can save us. It's not whether or not we believe we are a good person or not.
It's only Jesus Christ alone who can save us as he has done the work on the cross for us.
He was the Lamb of God who took our punishment for us.
All we have to do is believe in him. It's really that simple.

When I started to come to God is was amazing at how many false doctrines that was being shown to me other than the Bible. The Jehovah witnesses almost had me and taught a pretty good game, but when they got to Christ, they denied Christ as being God. The Holy spirit let me know that this was a false teaching. They tried to say that Jesus was the arch Angel Michael which is a complete lie. They also deny the Holy Spirit. Then I came across another false Doctrine where this online pastor was teaching that we were the fallen angels and Jesus Came back to redeem us. There is no remission of sin for the angels. God came as a man and not an Angel. These are Totally false doctrines that did not come from the bible which was also prophesied in the Bible about the last days. Many false Christ and false Prophets will arise. Pretty soon we are going to see an Anti-Christ come to power and he will deceive the world into taking his mark. Do not take the mark! Yes, I believe we are in the last days, so time is getting very short. I believe the stuff written is Revelation is going to come to pass in my lifetime.

Please take this the right way as I have known you a long time. I like you and you seem like a decent person. I am seeing you chose the wrong path, and I hope that you pray about what I told you and read those books in the Bible. Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. I just don't want you to be deceived as Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation my friend. The Bible isn't just some book that people blindly believe. Written by many thousands of years apart with prophecies that have all come true. This is how we know it's the true word of God.
I pray that you let the Holy Spirit into your heart, and he will guide you in the right direction my friend.
