The Acting U.S. Attorney for the SDNY has resigned because of the Trump Administration's insistence that she drop the case against Eric Adams.

Don't imagine the U.S. Attorney, Danielle Sassoon, is a Dem. She is not; she's a member of the Federalist Society. She clerked with Antonin Scalia. But what Trump is doing was too much for her to take. The high-level DOJ official who was then supposed to dismiss the case against Adams also resigned.

Very much like the Saturday Night Massacre. Someone needs to ask Pam Bondi if she knows what that was. And what it led to.
