I know a guy who works for Home Depot. People shoplift all the time. Every dime that's shoplifted in that store is deducted from profits and the employee profit sharing bonus... the money he feeds his family with. His inclination is to stop people, and if necessary, to do so physically, something he's quite able to do. He would get fired for that.

Home Depot has a policy against him stopping someone from walking out with a shopping cart full of high dollar items.

The founders of Home Depot, and the major shareholders of Home Depot, are decidedly in the Republican camp, and avid and generous trump supporters.
