Yes, that's absolutely why they needed to set up a whole separate server that was neither approved or vetted by the government agencies that they are "reading" all the information from. If they just wanted to copy shit down then a bunch of high capacity thumb drives would have been enough.

Once the code is downloaded into an outside server (also called espionage) it can be hacked into and apartheid clyde is the one running around claiming that he's deleting all these payments and organizations, not his opponents.
