"There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners - this isn't it," Ellen Weintraub said in her post.
So, how does the FEC work?

Well, the FEC has more than 300 employees, with six commissioners at the top.
The FEC's vice chair, James Trainor, is a Republican.
Weintraub has served as a commissioner on the FEC since 2002, according to the FEC website.
It says she has "served as a consistent voice for meaningful campaign-finance law enforcement and robust disclosure".
FEC commissioners are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate.
By law, no more than three commissioners can represent the same political party, and at least four votes are required for any official commission action, the FEC website says.

Trump's Ukraine peace plan to be revealed next week
By Riley Stuart in Washington DC
We've been talking a lot about the war in the Middle East this week, but let's not forget that Donald Trump is trying to end the war in Ukraine, too.
In fact, on the campaign trail, he promised to "end it in a day", although last month, his envoy for Ukraine, retired General Keith Kellogg, told Fox News the target was to end the war in 100 days.
There are multiple reports out today claiming Kellogg will outline Trump's peace plan to allies next week.
While Kellogg will attend the Munich Security Conference next week in Germany, and he's confirmed that he will meet with US allies there, he's also claimed that he won't reveal the plan.
"The person that's going to present the peace plan is the president of the United States, not Keith Kellogg. That [presenting the peace plan] is not going to happen next week at all," he told Newsmax.
