The whole idea of DeepSeek being a benefit to Nvidia's business isn't reflected in the stock trend. The market isn't buying it. Neither are the funds and institutions with them continuing to lower the shares they hold. Institutions are currently showing hold 66% of Nvidia's stock. I'm going to assume that has dropped due to the recent selling from institutions. With over 24B shares outstanding, Nvidia can hardly afford institutions continuing their reduction. There's not enough retail buying to cover any further selling. Also the amount of money Nvidia has authorized as buyback hardly makes a dent in the shares outstanding.

Next China according to last report is about 11% of Nvidia's revenue. That makes them one of the top 3 or so customers. But with potentially more restrictions being placed, there is concern.

DeepSeek is a concern (at least that's what the market thinks (proven by decline in SP). The latest fireside chat between Jensen and Mark appeared to be nothing more than stroking each others ego. What was continually mentioned was the H100 and how Meta new platforms would/could lead to much more utilization for people to have access to more AI applications. So basically this fireside chat along with their Q/K vaulted Meta to new 52 week highs but certainly had zero affect on Nvidia. But Jensen did use his leather jacket in an analogy (whoop).

The people who are making money from Nvidia are the traders and options players and currently that's it. Morgan Stanley has lowered their target on Nvidia SP. They have also been one of the major sellers of Nvidia in order to reduce their holdings. What's neede is relevent information and not hype and certainly not comments like DeepSeek will only help Nvidia because the market isn'lt buying that. Jensen is not one for giving out much relevant information that would encourage traders, institutions, or funds. Thiis has been proven after his last Q conference and his CES opening presentation since the stock declined after each one. Over the last week I'd say there's been more trading and less retail buying and holding.
