what's weird is that there would typically have been a healthy volunteer study before this POC study, and for this disorder there is a good biomarker of activity - serum tryptase - so you would think you have a pretty good idea if the drug is active already in healthy volunteers
i don't follow the company so no idea if they announced healthy volunteer tryptase results but if that was omitted that would have been a serious red flag
if they had good suppression of tryptase in healthy volunteers then this result is really a surprise
