But I'm going to suggest strongly that you guessed wrong.

I'm not going to check but did anyone who may have tortured themselves hear the justice suggest 'Please place your hand on the bible' which most of them do.
If he didn't then he was told not to ask, because a justice would not 'forget' something like that.
