I was thinking about the appointment of Pulte vs just shutting down FHFA. It might be legally better to have FHFA at least a while longer.

That's what I keep saying and it would not matter if Osama bin Laden were the Director. In regards to all these folks calling for the shutdown - I've said before its like being tackled by your own team member when your running for a touchdown and your inside the 5! What are you thinking?? Who the hell is going to sit on the other side of the table across from the Secretary of the Treasury to sign all these agreements? Its not only legally better - its legally necessary. We are all good to go and its not time to rearrange the deck chairs.

Now if you want to slash the staff in the meantime - that's something else.
