Here’s what I don’t get about death penalty opponents

If you walked in on someone murdering or raping someone, you could lawfully shoot them dead

Even the most liberal people would want someone to do that for them if they were the victim being attacked

So why do they oppose that same result when it happens through a court of law?

That’s all the death penalty is

A justified result to a truly evil action that simply takes place farther down the road than we’d prefer
