Been a few years since this region got snow. Another reason I moved here, digging out of a Buffalo, New York snowstorm, or a Lake effect blizzard is quite hard, 4-7 inches is a breeze. Besides I actually own two snow shovels, but if I get lucky and just wait for the sun to come back out in the afternoon, the snow will just melt away.
I went out today, extra Danish for my morning coffee, rare roast beef and delicatessen food for lunches, and steak and jumbo shrimp for evening meals. I actually love being snowed in. I get to just age slowly into my 80s, play with my baseball cards on the weekend. It is a wonderful life in America, especially if you have money and no place to go when it snows.
Back in my blizzard days in upstate New York we use to gather for all night poker games, they would go on for hours, good food, drink and maybe four couples spending a long weekend at my cabin on the Lake. It was great, all of the children playing in a few feet of snow, and everyone making their special food dishes. Great way to spend a snowed in weekend. Besides my one buddy had the nicest snowplow on his truck, the things we could make for kids were great. Ginat snow mountains, we even could come off of the side of my roof, that is how high the snow would get.
