Thank goodness preferential and compulsory voting means political parties have to target all citizens so political polarity will never be as toxic in Australia as in the U.S.A. The problem for the GOP is that preferential and compulsory voting are good for the country, not just for a favored group in the country.

PS: Am off to visit an ex-neighbors place. A seasonal visit.
