I know those of us still holding are holding because there is still a small chance of a competing bid.....since this transaction is not slated to close until sometime in the 1st quarter of next year, there is still plenty of time for another suitor to come along. Now I am not sure how many shares have already been tendered, but based on early volume, I would think at least half of all outstanding shares??? Also as has been pointed out, there are probably still some shorts that need to cover....so for those that have not, why are they waiting????
And then there is also a another very small chance of a legal challenge....however here, unless some larger institutional holders get involved, this too probably will not happen.
It may just be one in a million, but as Jim Carrey commented in the movie "Dumb and Dumber".....so you say there is a chance!!!!! lol
The sad thing, is that the Russell is starting to float higher and looks like things may continue to improve for the smaller cap stocks...especially those either in or serving the Biotech industry....our share price may have floated up to the current selling price even without the announcement......and then again there is the upcoming CC...which I assume they have to hold in some fashion....certainly they will try not to paint too positive a picture...but it may still be interesting???
