That pretty much covers it. What can the country do?
It's clear why shitface was allowed to say anything he wanted to. Because the other side 'thought' we had news sources to balance.
But the author is dead on. Perhaps I need a different descriptor.

It's scary that so much of our news is supported by russia behind the curtain.
