thinking it was a children's book'.....Well parents have and they don't like those that tried to put it in their child's path.....
It's an autobiography. By person who was born a woman but didn't really feel like a woman. But she didn't feel like a guy, either. She correctly assumed there were other people like her, so she wrote the book to help them. I doubt many kids short of puberty would be interest.
What astonishes me about people who wring their hands about this kind of thing is that they seem to have forgotten what their own teen years were like. All you have to tell a preteen or teen is not to read something, and you can be sure they will.
