Netanyahu has always done all he has been able to do to deter any two state solution. The war has likely on balance upped his own popularity. Netanyahu knows votes of American Jews are important to American politicians particularly in nearby election times. Even though Netanyahu's war goal of wiping out Hamas was a lost cause from the start his role of keeping the most extreme elements of Zionism on track is being served. Netanyahu i guess would be happy with a Trump win. That said i don't think Netanyahu cares much about what any president says.
