I recently watched an episode of American Greed where a dude raised many millions of dollars in an EB-5 scam and spent a good deal of the money he raised on himself instead of on the property development that he promised. Many Chinese citizens, hoping to get permanent residence status in the US were booted back to China when the scheme was exposed.
