Get real about Afghan equipment.... The Americans disabled most of what they left behind, the Afghan army, not so much. Both sides ignore or exaggerate....No one digs enough to get past partisanship and headlines..

All I said was there were hardly any troops left in Afghanistan when Biden was sworn in. Were they supposed to have gathered up all that equipment?
As far as the generals, sure. Some of them wanted to stay. When don't they? Trump surrendered to the Taliban on February 29, 2020 and had the Afghans set 5000 of their fighters free. As a result there was no fighting and there no casualties for nearly 18 months.
Following the 2020 election trump ordered a complete withdrawal of all troops. The Pentagon couldn't get that done.
