Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI)

I have no position here. But I am trying to decern why investors might be eager to open one.

Although this company looks to have plenty of promise, is it not the same company whose 10K year-end report has been delayed for quite some time? And is this not the same company who is under an SEC investigation? Something about problems with "revenue recognition and understating expenses"? The investigation was opened at the end of August and SMCI published an NT-10K filing on August 30th. They've gone past the 15-day extension that filing gave them and still no 10K.

I'm not bashing here. Just trying to understand why people are buying this in the face of this investigation and failure to file.

I would guess the stock would fly, if the investigation outcome is favorable. That would definitely be a reason to buy! But wouldn't this sink down fairly quickly, if the outcome is not favorable?

I do have a position in NVDA, and I know that SMCI has a relationship with them. Hence my interest here.
