I can tell you first hand it would be scary for many reasons. 2 or 3 years ago at a summer family reunion, I was sitting there drinking a beer out of a bottle and the sip I took seemed a little chunky. It was a some sort of wasp. It stung me twice by the time I realized what I took in and spat out.
I've never reacted to a bee stings before and this stupid bug stung me on the top of my tongue and right side near the back of the throat. So people were watching me for any reaction, no one had any emergency shot thing. We were camping 40 minutes from the nearest hospital and I kept drinking/sipping cold beer and water. Still we drove to the nearest city and the ER and they took me in almost instantly. No appreciable swelling by 40+ min since eating the thing and the staff felt I was safely past the scary part.
The drive there was like being in a dream state. I was just trying to stay calm and like meditated myself into a zombie state. Really weird duality thing.
It's pretty strange looking at the wasp that may have killed me in minutes if that happened. Never know when shit like this happens right? I feel your fear with the baby.
