The doctors call what happened to me a "missed abortion" and it's very common. The problem with that condition is that you don't discharge any of the dead fetal tissue and it remains in the woman's body until she's able to get a D&C or an abortion pill to clean her out. Now, that's no longer allowed in Trump abortion ban states until the woman is close enough to death where it becomes a life and death medical emergency. Several women have already died because MAGATs have outlawed that procedure, so it's one of the unintended consequences of Trump's radical abortion ban.
