Not sure how it makes your point but whatever. Beyfortus can prevent RSV or be a preventative treatment in your Covid example temporarily for one season. You can never disassociate the word prevent from treatment like the author in the RSV article did. For example cervical cancer has many treatments. Surgery. Radiation. Chemotherapy. You can say just “treatment “ for all of these. You can never say gardasil is a treatment for cervical cancer. It’s just the wrong use of the word treatment. You have to use preventative treatment (or prophylactic vaccine , preventative intervention or measure etc). It’s not just wrong it’s misleading because there are companies developing therapeutic vaccines. They tout that their vaccine is a treatment for the condition. So calling Beyfortus a treatment is just wrong and confusing and misleading and s never done in the medical field. I also don’t think the dictionary supports it for the reason in my first post in this. Anyhoo not sure how much longer we can go round amd round in this
