The message of the article, i think, lies in it's reminders of the depth, strength and complexity of the anti-democratic movement in the United States. Years ago i read an opinion that the chief reason for the success of U.S. conservatives was their organization, something which liberals lacked. If that were ever true i hope our liberal power brokers are more aware of it now, than they might have been then. And, lol, that they have caught up considerably.
