You may be correct that they have been getting those ducks into perfect formation since the OSC complaint was filed. However, I don't think it matters much to the investigative and regulatory commissions if they put their "ducks in a row" AFTER the alleged acts occurred; I think they are probably much more concerned about the alignment of the ducks on the dates of the alleged acts set out in the OSC complaint and affidavit of Tom Anderson. The damage was already done and you just can't "take it back".
Hypothetically speaking, that would be sort of like bank robbers putting the money back into the safe after they were caught robbing the bank, then trying to convince the police of "no harm, no foul".
The important thing is not to stop questioning.
