IMO..What if someone told you oil isn't actually from finite fossil and plant matter? But from chemical compounds and tremendous pressure under the layers of the earth which peculates up from the magma in perpetuity? Ever wonder what fossils and plant life existed 30 to 40 miles under the bottom of an ocean where the oil barons have been drilling for decades? In literal bedrock?

Did the earth happen to cover itself over with 50 miles of crust and solid rock after a million years of jungles?

Well, oil has been coming up from holes found and drilled since 1880-1890 and in 1960 the oil industry said all the oil is peaked and from then on it will decrease until it is gone. This lie drove the 70's robberies by big oil. But if commercial oil began in earnest in 1900 and peaked in 1960, that's roughly even give it 70 years left. that means there shouldn't hardly be any oil to be found in 10 years. Does it look like opec and russia are struggling to find oil? Are we? Why pressure cap a empty oil well in Texas?

The only thing that will stop big oil is big clean energy. Oil is already diversifying and finding ways to keep oil in cars, but we will always need lubricants and petroleum products, big oil is going to learn to become smaller oil and give up their 100 million a year salaries to survive. My heart bleeds for those executives.
