With luck. Yes. And perseverance. Bilott, though when he defeated at different stages he felt that farmer had been right in that so much of our world is rigged. The farmer, with a 12th grade education, had told him that 'the only ones defending us is us.' Bilott hung in. DuPont was found guilty of knowingly poisoning the world with their "forever chemical." When the Science council (whatever it was called) found DuPont guilty DuPont tore up the agreement they had made with Bilott. He was shattered, told his wife, 'they said they are going fight every one of the over 3000 claimants individually.' Bilott had said, no, to that farmer early. No. We can beat them, but when Dupont said they had torn the deal up he recalled what the farmer had said Bilott now felt he understood the farmer was right. Still, he fought on. Dupont caved. They settled Bilott's class action.
In explanation of why that here, i had left 10 min. of Dark Waters some time ago. Just finished it now and, well, just feel it fits with the fight against a destructive and powerful and influential force which is going on particularly, again, today.
Have a good night. I'm out.
It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
