Snow, the first dividend will be paid (I think by HSBC) out of Hong Kong. Future dividends may come from the US, HK or even Puerto Rico (our own bank).

So, waiting for the first dividend will tell you nothing about future payments. I suggest you send them 7 copies of W-8BEN so you are covered for all dividends for the foreseeable future.
