We'll get better details on the AP outlook during their conference call in the morning. I just don't get a warm fuzzy feeling when I hear about how losses in Europe continue, weakness in some of their markets, etc. Other steel companies aren't exactly doing great. And when the CEO of AP says this-
"our Q2 results reflect our current potential in a steady production environment with no unusual items coming into play."
It makes me think Q2 earnings are about as good as it gets. And will likely be coming down when they do have those unusual items. At least the Fed cutting rates should help them as far as lower interest expense.
