Passion overtakes all of us, I guess the question before us all is whether we can overcome that passion long enough to be rational........ The saying of put country above party or on to ideology is not so easy as just typing the words......
Anyhoot, people just have a hard time not dehumanizing the other with whom they disagree.......As is and has been the case throughout history, there are moments in history we have an opportunity to change course, avoid disaster.....
For the past couple of decades, revolution has been in the air, not that most of you would understand, just understand that it is has....Try and understand they have legit grievances and I will always point to inequity as the ultimate cause.....
Will we continue down the path of inflammatory rhetoric, will enough people break the cycle of escalation, not be afraid to speak out and simply say we are all Americans........Can we put agendas aside, affiliations on the back burner to address the American problem, or just stay caught up in blame and political expediency....
As a free speech advocate, I could care less if Hitler himself stood on a college campus and preached his hate......What I care about is his right to do so and on to my right to ignore him......Now would be a good time to remember we all have a voice, ones more rational than group think.....There is a middle of the country that is begging for people to step up and speak their mind without fear of being ostracized.....Because most people are good at heart, that almost always wins out over the evil we also have.....
As I sit stumbling for words, I look to those more articulate than I to break the cycle of hate and division.....Will folks speak out.......Leadership and the political system is failing, hence we wouldn't be here.......They are the problem, not the solution......
Americans supporting Americans without side or favor, that's rational, its the passion we need, all it needs is voice......
