I was being polite by ignoring stuff you said that made little sense, especially in the context of this argument.

According to Statistica https://www.statista.com/outlook/cmo/apparel/men-s-apparel/t-shirts/united-states, the average American buys 2.8 T-shirts per year and spends $15.60 (not per shirt, the total for their 2.8 T-shirts)

That’s a little over $5 per T-shirt.

If spending $5 per tee makes me homeless, then the average American is homeless.

Nearly all T-shirts sold in the country are priced at less than $6. A small fraction are sold at $25+. That fraction may be important for a company targeting luxury streetwear, but it won’t address the issue of the use of synthetics in clothing.

Being frugal does not make me homeless. Just careful with my money.
