When the olympic committee opened the olympics to professional athletes, primarily to create more interest and more importantly make them more money, whether they say they spend it on Olympics is debatable. Anyways I've lost my taste for the commercialized olympics for the most part. But that's just me. Politics keep messing it up too. But that's the way of the world now.
