As I said, I don't think anyone's vote should be worth more than anyone else's.

I have nothing against rural Americans, and I don't think I've said anything nasty about them. But traditionally, Americans have been a very mobile society. That was something that separated us from the rest of the world. As the nation expanded, its citizens, most of them farmers, moved west.

Even in the late 20th century, people moved from northern manufacturing centers to the sunbelt. So why is it people in some parts of the country are just taking opioids and moaning about the closure of the coal mines?
