I don't get the idea of your hating on trading, are you meaning to tell me you don't trade during the year in real life. I trade all the time. In fact most of us do, I find things during the year, stocks we like go up and than the risk/reward changes hence we sell some or all, sometimes it is clear you simply picked a bad stock, the fundies change and you sell because of that reason, Sometimes we find a new stock on june 30th for example, and we decided to buy it, even if the contest started waaaaaaaaaaaaaay earlier. In the last contest roughly 60% of contestants made transactions, so the idea that most contestants don't do it is completely false.

It would take a decent amount of work for me to recreate the old portfolios, hence I'm not gonna do it. Admittingly that is because I don't see the relevance of How you get there, whether you pick 4 stocks and never trade or have turnover after you pick gainers (Keep in mind for that to work you have to keep picking winners when your trading).
