We should absolutely cap the price of houses. Nationalize the lumber mills... Seize the means of production...

You know what. We used to build public housing. It was means tested. We used to subsidize the heck out of home ownership. Actually we still do, buy allowing people to write off the interest on taxes (renters have the landlord's taxes built in, but they can't write that off). But USDA used to subsidize the purchase of starter homes. I have friends still living in those 900 and 1000 foot ranches and capes, having raised families in them.

Anyone who proposes systems like that today gets shot down as a "communist". Two generations of Rush Limbaugh and Fox news fans have fucked this country completely up. Yeah well, you grew it, you chew it, hillbilly. You fucking hate us... I no longer give a shit.
