I'm not sure you think that's the flex you think it means.
Perhaps the poorer places can elect some democrats and get rich too? Wouldn't that be cool?
Plus your GOP doesn't represent any one of their constituents outside of their own vested interests these days.. It's kind of tricky to understand but I know you'll figure it out someday.
I vote for sides from each party and always have. There are a bunch of down ballot races and because I'm able to get my mail in vote, I can personally vet my own choices at my kitchen table instead of hastily checking off boxes at the ballot box without a cheat sheet in my pocket.
Sometimes I'll like a candidate, not for the party they stand for but because of who they are and the message they send out. I'll admit that in the last few cycles the GOP foists candidates that are nuttier than squirrel poop but the door is always open.. I'm not prejudiced and I'm sure a lot of people here would say the same.
