Begs the question as to what would happen if the GOP had all the power in the states mentioned. There's no evidence from the red states that equality of opportunity, equitably financed schooling or any of the other issues mentioned are being handled any better by republicans.

One thing for sure, the money needed to address these problems would be harder to come by in the recessionary economies the GOP creates like clockwork.
