lol I was the exact opposite. After my divorce I started to get a skin condition that I wasn't sure of.. I had blister patches and an itchy rash all throughout. I went to see a dermatologist and actually had a biopsy done.. He prescribed me a giant bottle of pills that I was apparently supposed to take for the rest of my life.

I didn't believe that shit so I changed everything. I stopped using my laundry detergents and switched to hypoallergenic friendly stuff. I stopped using fabric softeners in the dryer. It still didn't go away until I started sleeping on the couch full time. It all cleared right up after that, but the couch sucks so I wanted to sleep in my bed again.. The first night I crawled back in I literally felt the rash coming back immediately.

I figured it had something to do with my sheets and I was right. I tossed those old suckers and bought some expensive cotton ones that have never let me down since. Comforter too, the old one was messing with me as well. All cotton now. Even some poly blend clothing will give me a fit but it's okay once I get out of it. It's just hard to get dressed up for date nights or whatever without some polyester going on so I take the hit when needed.

having sensitive skin sucks. My mother has the same problem too and actually washes her clothes with vinegar. Mine get exceptionally dirty so I need real soap and the hypoallergenic stuff works just fine. I did screw up one time and bought some of those scent beads, not thinking. My clothes smelled great but boy howdy did I break out when I put them on. I had to rewash everything twice before I could wear them again.

Never got the gout but I have friends who do have it and their diet really does play a big role in that movie. They harp on me for eating red meat and seafood the way I do but it hasn't caught up with me yet..
