My solution was documented here, early on. We should have given Ukraine everything they needed instead of pussyfooting around.. I'd have taken it right to Putiin's front lawn and carpet bombed Red Square but I'm not a military expert.. I think that the Russian military is so outdated and depleted that they wouldn't even know if their missiles would work.. Plus after all these years we know where all their silos are and could hit them before a launch was even instructed..
It's disingenuous to say that Obama handed Crimea over. 10-20 years ago Ukraine was ripe with corruption and was not to be trusted. Things change and so did its leadership in that time.. People are still making up stuff about Zelensky and guess who those people are? Remember the "perfect phone call"?
It's not weakness to keep your troops out of harm's way and watch from afar. NATO countries are all at the ready and have all beefed up their borders.
It's better to slow play than to go all in but again I'm not a military strategist..
We have China boxed in like a turtle's pecker and they have never fought a foreign war. Sure, all the posturing makes it look fancy but real time action is a whole different story.
