If protesters kept 2 people in mind and their example, the message will always be better heard......The media, left or right feed off the violence, and if there is any, it always diminishes the cause...
Ghandi freed India and MLK changed the civil rights movements from one of violent confrontation to one where powerful words were heard.........
Its up to each University how they handle it......The police can't enforce policies, only laws.......If a university declares them trespassers and asks them to leave (like the encampments) they can can call the police and they should enforce it.....No different than if someone is on your property and won't leave when ask....
So far I'll give the students, universities and police a pretty good grade.......Just keep the trouble makers out of it as you said best you can..........Found it all boring and watched the medias try to sensationalize every little thing.....We are far from Vietnam era protests and riots......Keep the trouble makers out, maybe it will stay that way....
(and modern media is only making everything worse, dont care who watches what, they want their viewers fired up, the more the better)
