In your very first sentence you have admitted something which i, and others i'd guess, have suggested to you about you before. As for your next, well if you can't handle that sort of comment after piling on in virtually every post insult of this place (even though you were correctly picked as not having read much here) and of others here then you are naively thin-skinned. That's my personal opinion of your opening here:

I’m not particularly thin skinned but dealing with that stuff is pointless. If you get the New Yorker, Remnick had a good piece about Netanyahu back in January.
P - The only reason you perceive me as being over protective is that Israel is obviously being held to a standard that other countries aren’t, as has been pointed out here previously so I’m compensating.

i don't get the New Yorker. Though i do pay for more than one, I get much of my stuff from wandering and searching, as did that one. Then there is your 'if you don't like it here then you shouldn't like it there and if you are so vocal about one, you should be just as vocal about every other one.' Seriously. That's not how the world works. It's not how people are. And talk about becoming boresome, yeah, your repetitions push on all that sure as hell did.
Lastly, personally i perceive you as being over protective of Israel for the same reasons as millions of others would undoubtedly see you the same way. For the same reasons i'm sure Ehud Barak would see you as being that. Have you ever asked yourself why you could (or would) never say candidly here what you would say face-to-face to that Israeli who said if he were Palestinian he would have joined a terrorist group. Must've asked you that question some 3-4 times. Yet only silence.
