Yes, he was a little before my time and I didn't even start catching up to him until the early 90's when one of my college buddies introduced me to his work. That was before the internet was even a thing and then he got sick.. It wasn't until 10 or so years later when we could fire up the google machine and find some of his archived stuff outside of the music.
