Yes, I get that Aqua, and you are correct. It's a psychological letdown because when we buy the stock we are anticipating values and gains based on the number of shares we bought. After a while it just gets old. Also, the reality of the ATLX deal, like any other, is that at what point would a shareholder have gotten out? After the split the stock immediately doubled to $15, only to drop back down to under $6. If one was strong enough to not throw the towel in then, it ultimately went back up to $12, only to fall back to $6. It's great if you're trading in and out, but we all know that's not so easy to do. The point is that the large majority would not have held to $45 and if they did, 2 days later the stock was back at $15. This game is one of the most difficult to master and very few can truly call themselves a master. It psychologically beats us up every day, but it's the only thing that gives us a fighting chance to achieve our dreams. The reality is that it is a challenge every day because no matter how much knowldge nor how many "tools" we have, we never know with 100% certainty what is going to happen in the next 5 minutes, let alone the next five years. The only people who know what's going on inside any company are the top brass of the company and those "in the know" with them. All we have is an educated guess. I try very hard to learn from hindsight, but it's difficult to get through my thick skull to take the money and run because I'm always trying to convince myself that "this is the grandslam I've been waiting for!" This has been the case with BMXI for sure. I was in when it went to $.485. I didn't sell because Mr. Stock Analyst said $6. I was still in when it jumped from .06 to .30 in one day because the same "star" analyst reiterated his $6 target. Something sure smells funny abouth this guy. He should be permanently barred. These lessons are good though because all the homeruns I missed would have more than made up for the grandslam I keep waiting for! Gotta just start taking more of the base hits! 🙄 Thanks for your input!🙂
